I need to vent.
I posted it on the Other Games thread but I think is needs it's own discussion.
Who in their right mind decided that the Sharks take their home game against Manly, one of our true rivals, to Perth?
It's for the Steve Rogers Memorial Trophy.
FFS!
We celebrate our best ever player at our home ground, not in fecking Perth, the other side of Earth.

If someone says it's a "financial decision" I'll rip their fecking balls off.

I thought the team Culture presented by Fitz and the staff was the be an all in. So why take the home ground, and fans away from celebrating our best every player????
Fecking kook decision.
I'm filthy.

Just to add, I was living in Perth in 1993 when the Sharks had a home game against Manly and played at the WACA.
We lost.
Artie was Coach and ET was playing 5/8.
I was living with a bunch of Vico aussie rules players.
They all went for Manly to be the opposition of me. Bunch of Kent's.

Sydney time 300pm, meaning 100pm Perth. I get it, AFL heavy state but a bloody dumb time. My brother in law can’t believe he will probally get to see Hiroti play again. Last time he was a Jedi, can only hope he continues his WA reign

Yeah but will he celebrate the greatest Shark of all?
Will anyone in Perth the Other Side of Earth?

My agenda is plain but passionate.
I need answers.
I gather Dino made this decision.
Whoever did, you fecked up.

Then they aren't real fans.
And I'll rip their fecking balls off if they say that to me, or any other appendage if the balls doesn't comply.
People have no idea about the white boots let alone their club greats mate it’s a different Time nowadays

My favourite bit is when the membership goes up and they take a home game to Perth, and magic round too.
Well they just replaced Coffs with Perth.
They've been doing Magic Round for a while.
I have no problem with them taking a home game to Perth, just not to play the game that celebrates our greatest ever player.
That's culture.
I thought that's what they've been trying to sell us.
Sharks Culture, let's celebrate Steve Rogers.
They did recently with their Immortal Concept. They had his children there in tears.
Culture.

Culture.

Once upon a time you could walk into the club and Steve would be at the Bar having a schooner and a chin wag.

Can’t even walk into the club anymore.

What culture

No they won’t celebrate. They will take the cash and throw it into the coffers so at next years AGM the balance sheet looks reasonable. And the shell of the club sit there like Mascot Towers.
I can say I don’t care anymore, but I’m hear eating breakfast and rambling on a Monday morning.
I guess I’m old and bitter and completely over it

I need to refresh my memory here. Why do we compete against the Hartleys for the Sludge Cup again.

I honestly don't think two losing GFs against the Hartley's makes for a good reason.

I’m going to Perth for work, but unfortunately it’s one week too late!
Heading over NEXT Saturday, not THIS Saturday…
