It's a massive rip off though. $40 on the club website atm for standard definition and the channel 9 commentary team :x

It's standard definition because Channel 9 didn't broadcast it in HD, only SD.

I think you will find it was the Channel 9 pictures though merely with the Foxtel call team. Fox Sports Broadcast in HD, and an SD picture broadcast in HD will still look better than an SD picture broadcast in HD. Channel 9 are the official broadcaster of the Grand Final so it's ther feed used (like it or not).

As to the price for the DVD, buy it elsewhere. Plenty of DVD retaliers are advertising it's availability for far less than $40.00 (e.g JB Hi-Fi, DVD Orchard, Ezy DVD who are offering it in the $29.97 to $32.00 (approx) price range).
