JJ, forgot to mention, interesting point you make about the two low-scoring games at Eden Park. For me, a lower scoring game wins out over a game where both teams get 300+ or where batsmen comfortably score a century without breaking a sweat. Most of the memorable ODI's in Australia were the ones involving sub-200 scores on pitches which did quite a bit (especially the SCG when there it was a bit underprepared due to rain). Remember the days when scoring a 50 was a big deal and got a loud applause, let alone the rare 100?
I think the four teams that have played at Eden Park this tournament have been lulled into a false sense of security, thinking that they can hammer a 400+ score because the boundaries are approx 50-55m. That is what instigated Australia's 8/26 batting collapse vs New Zealand. Even as they were losing wickets, the mentality of the Aussie batsmen was that it was ok to keep playing with gay abandon because sooner or later a wild swing at the ball which hit the top edge would go for six. South Africa made the exact mistake against Pakistan and got bowled out 20 runs short with a WHOPPING 14 overs to spare.
