Got to say Taylor's innings was one of the worst exhibitions of batting possible chasing a total of this size. His mindset is horribly wrong. Batting like an ugly duckling and no thought to ticking the strike over.

There seems to be a school of thought that Crowes illness is playing havoc with Ross.

Dunno but Taylor is the only issue just seems in poor form. Can change quick for him though

Clearly his mind's not in the game. The dopey run outs, dopey shots, dropped catches, lack of any ideas to roll the strike over - he's not concentrating.

And just to clarify his average in 2015 is still 44 and his average in 2014 was 66. An out form Ross is still infinitely better than any other option we have.

Yeah, no question about changing the team... although I still wonder about adding Mills, with the two new balls I think Southee, Boult and Mills could shred a few lineups... But Milne has done nothing wrong

Taylor is out of sorts, no doubt - but battling which is good - I thought at some stage he would up things, kind of what he tried when he got out I guess...

In a funny way I was pleased McCullum and Williamson didn't do much, it put heat on the rest. Guptill looked really good, the lbw aside - he's a streaky f**k, so that could be a really good sign... Anderson is impressing me more and more - thought, for experienced players, in the situation the Elliott and Ronchi dismissals were really poor... but all up, I was happy with that leading to the knockouts

Taylor looked ordinary and his dismissal was ordinary. However, in the context of the match, his innings was crucial and welcomed.

No, we just know how good he is - he's a more fluent, destructive player - not that he has to bat that way all the time, it was a gritty innings, which was good - but he has looked out of sorts, distracted - I am now just of the opinion he's not in the best knick, but he's one of those guys that overnight can find form... others have speculated that Crowe's illness has affected him (personally I don't think that's the case, as Crowe wouldn't let that happen), or that his issues with Hesson have bubbled again - not sure that's the case either, because looking in nothing seems to have changed

I think the positive thing about Taylor... I think it's only a matter of time before he finds form again...

And if he finds form in the business end of this tournament... It will take our batting line up to a whole different level.

That's why I think everyone is happy to persevere with him... His upside is massive...
