Anyone who thinks that the 3P exercise was about anything other than getting Kenny into the head coach's role has their head in the sand....

I've always wondered why panthers punted him after winning a grand final, i think it was in jersey flegg. it's also strange that no other club has picked him up since then, makes me think there is something about his coaching style that isn't popular.

Now that is a greater conspiracy theory since the death of Stalin.
TBH, that cracks me up. However, you are entitled to your opinion.

sponsor $$$.

terry (and col back in january) said they had a glut of sponsors waiting to sign up provided denis wasn't there anymore. they sponsor football, not the leagues. i can't remember if df was pushed aside from (or was part of) the fc board but if the nrl club is under the control on the fc and not the lc, then denis isn't really controlling it.

Ovo said at one of the 3P meetings that whilst we're not the most heavily sponsored club (in terms of total revenue), we are around the top section.

So, considering we're talking about a $6m hole here, there is no way in the world that sponsorship will even come close to covering that. They're gonna need something else.

we are one of the most attractive ball clubs in the country, we should be heavily sponsored and we should be in demand big time.

I've been told by people who have been close to the club more than once that we've under sold ourselves in the area or corporate support for a number of years.

Well Terry assured me in the extinct election thread that there would be no jobs for the boys and that Ando would be the FG coach for many many years to come and will have full autonomy of the NRL side and staff selection. Terry wouldn't lie to me, would he ?

Anyway, I'm sure that Bert is quite settled in his current role selling office equipment.

that's the thing. maybe i got the wrong impression but from memory at least one of the potential sponsors was onne of the biggest companies in the country but they wouldn't get involved unless df wasn't. this is one of the things that concerns me - ie. how much $$$ the club gets from the new sponsors that are apparently queing up to sign with us, how will it affect the re-signing of our current sponsors and will there be a conflict of interest between current and (as yet not identified) potential future sponsors.

if there is that much potential corporate support i don't see how the fc can't operate on its own, given that pretty much every afl club seems to be able to.

if that's the case than your school of thought would mean that you'd have your head in China...

maybe ask the incoming head coach at the time who prefered his own staff.

Is Terry a member of the Leagues Club. If not, what has the result got to do with him? He should become a member before commenting. As it stands now..Terry has as much say on the LC elections as me, as much say as Bob Fulton, as much say as Peter Peters who are also a non members...and that is NONE, NIL, ZILCH...

Rhetoric without authority is as handy as tits on a boar pig...

Or a key board in the hands of Parra Pete...Sorry Pete couldn't resist. As you were.
