He's f**king hopeless... I love it when he's commentating with Rogers or Nannes and they'll bring up former matches or tours to illustrate a point and say something like "and England have tried a few different tactics in the field today, and they did that a lot back on the last tour didn't they?" and Whateley will just kind of insipidly and almost incoherently say "yep" to agree... It's obvious he has no f**king clue what they're referring to but he just goes with it... He's only been commentating full time on cricket for 2 or 3 summers, before that he would have spent watching AFL on Fox 24/7 during summer in the nude with a tub of melting margarine and one of those AFL goal line umpires flags nearby... He knows nothing about cricket....
