I find it hard to not give the MOM to Johnson, top scorer in the first innings and 9 wickets for the match.

Hussey saved our bacon twice. Stats don't show the importance of the contribution. 9 wickets and 62 look great but when you come in during the first session of day 1 at 3/28 and 3/64 in the second innings and consolodate and lay the platform that's a man of the match performance.

Geez Clarke looked great as captain.

Watson yet again showed what a world class all rounder not opener he is.

Smith had a great debut.

The Huss, what a man.

And pick your best 4 bowlers, sick of hearing how you NEED a spinner. WI never did.

1. yep, he's always been keen on how he looks
2.
3. FFS, standards have dropped in Australia if that's now considered a GREAT debut :sarcasm: one terrible and one scratchy effort with the bat.... and a couple of catches.... yep, great!
4. Yes, he's resurrected things and looks terrific
5. Hardly the same as the Windies... conditions were relatively helpful... the Windies quicks could cause problems in any conditions, clearly the Australians can't

That is the first game i have seen Australia actually play like they should since the India test in Sydney years ago.

Everyone seemed to have a go at them for being unsportsmanlike after that India game, and i thought they would come out firing, but instead they came out like sheep. The fire was out.

It was a pleasure to see them find it again, they were chirping at the English all game, sledging, standing there ground and demanding the English to face them. This is the attitude that made us a powerhouse, i couldnt give a sh*t what people around the world think of us in cricket, i want them to be obnoxious, to mentally beat the opposition and to make them feel worthless.

Confidence is born from attitude, it is the way you hold your body while walking, the way you stare into your opponents eyes, you are either looking to be liked, or looking for there weakness.

Fire up aussies!!
