give the ballers 2 piece balls in the nets, they swing plenty, the problem is the Kookaburra 4 piece has a wide flat seam and doesn't swing much not like the Duke ball used in England which has a narrow high seam.Aussies can't play swing because the ball rarely swings in Australia. All the Aussie decks are too dry which doesn't allow for swing even with overcast conditions. Also the training wickets in Aus always suit batsman not bowlers.

I say throw the willow now and make the most of the conditions today.. Funnily enough the last time Johnson left a ball and got given out LBW he had South Africa in all sorts.
He left one in either the 1st or 2nd Test that resulted in the LBW I believe. Might have been bowled.
What i don't understand is what has Clarke done wrong to get the selectors swayed against him? Have they forgotten how great he was for us when he was at full health.
