I have no problem at all with them batting defensively given the position they are in. I hated them being boring when they dominated in the 2nd test but they have every right to slow things down here.

A draw is as good as a win for them. A draw locks up the urn.

Digging yourself into a hole and not scoring when chasing down a big total is a recipe for disaster. They have batted for 58 overs but are still in deep shit. One more wicket and they are struggling big time. These two and Prior are the only blokes who will take the game to us.
