Typical Saffa's throwing the towel.

Game over red rover Aussies up 2 - 1.

Yeah WTF was that? First time I can recall a side not batting the number 11 simply because the match was effectively over.

I'm sure some of the hapless Poms would have loved to do the same last summer against Johnson but they still fronted up - stained undies and all.

EDIT: Tahir injured according to Cricinfo....

We thought he must have picked up an injury at the game as he didn't bowl much. Still weird in that the guys in the middle knew nothing about it.

Anyway Manuka with lights is a brilliant ground to watch cricket at.

Knee injury, picked it up fielding apparently. I guess if he is injured, no point risking as they were going to lose anyway.

Doesn't matter that Hawkeye says it's missing leg as the ball hit the foot on the full inline of the stumps. Umpire has to assume it's going straight on and made the correct call.

That is not correct. The umpire has to assume it is staying on its original course. Which means it would have missed leg.

What you are describing is what usually occurs with spinners who hit the batsman on the full.

lol at Siddle lol at not playing a spinner

Lyon just played a 4 day game at the Gabba and took 1 wicket in 2 innings against a first class team, yeh lets play haim against India, they are crap against spin

Must have been the severe case of butthurt at being taken for 12 off his first over.

Not sure about Bailey any more, not one bowler bowled his allotted 10 overs last night and he was fortunate the the Saffas threw in the towel so early.

Although Starc got 4 wickets (mainly tailenders) I thought Haze was a stand out again and surely has has to play test cricket now.

Hazelwood was by far and away the best bowler last night. That was his test too, everyone knows he will be good on the bouncier pitches, but now we have seen him be effective on a flat track.
