Smart actually, Thomas will probably be okay for an hour/maybe an hour and a half, after that probably not. So opening makes sense.

Pollard has obviously been pigeon-holed as a guy who can only bat the last 10 or so overs..

If they trusted him,this seems like a perfect situation for him too open if Gayle is hurt..

Don't agree, Clarke is fine in ODI's but he should not have come in where he did today, completely screwed at least 15-20 runs.
