Big issue remains 6,7,8. We got away with it at the WC because our top order and bowlers fired but for a long time we've decelerated in the last 10 Turner is not the answer because he's a top order player playing down the order, Agar's selection is an absolute joke.

But I'm not sure who replaces Turner. The issue is that in 20 over cricket there isn't enough overs for that type of player, the one who rotates the strike during the middle overs then accelerate at the end. All you have are openers and sloggers.

Atm we've only got the ability to bat for 35 to 40 overs (provided our top order fires). Even if one of the top 3 gets a hundred they usually don't stick around and momentum falls to shit.

A few things to take out of this.

Zampa our player of the series although Smith scoring 229 in two innings also good to see him back in some runs.

Agar is not a 7 in ODI cricket. Probably an 8 at best. T20 is different as 7 rarely bats many overs but in ODIs 7 needs to do a job.

Our middle to lower order is our weakness like the world cup, not sure if Turner is the answer, batting that low you need to be able to bowl as well as hit from ball 1. Why does Travis Head not get a look in, his game is made for ODIs and he can bowl.
