You guys were saying Starc getting an ankle injury was karma for asking Santner to get a wriggle on a couple of months ago. Now its all ok ?

I have no idea about any of this. Santner said in his first test Lyon asked him if he was nervous and Santner replied Yip.

I heard that was all the sledging/chit chat at the crease that he got. Doesn't even qualify as sledging.

Is this not the case?

I've googled it. Santner to his credit did not reveal any of this in his interview post test match debut when asked about Aussie sledging. Guess he was saving some grace for Starc.

I think it is a shame for Starc to carry on that way and call players merkins and what not. He is a talented fast bowler, especially in limited overs stuff.

This should be the example of a fast bowler playing hard...

To be fair, not hard to get an aggressive response from the Aussies - again, to me nothing wrong with what Elliott said, if Wade considers that sledging then he sets the bar pretty low - has he told Haddin and Faulkner how gutless he thinks they are? Obviously much more gutless than Elliott

Again, our team does what it does, they play the game they way they want - they engage in little/no sledging, but some players chat a bit - it's not them that announced themselves as the moral saviours of cricket - it's some sections of the media, but boy doesn't it irritate some Australian players

Khawaja had a tanty in the 2nd ODI. Batting against Santner one clipped his pad and Ronchi appealed. The umpire wrongly signalled wide. Khawaja got cranky at Ronchi for why he was appealing against Gods graceful flat track bully gift to batting to which Ronchi replied "because I thought you hit it, dick".

While technically this was an appeal, it didn't help the bowler's case. It is only human nature to appeal more aggressively if you want to convince the umpire that you personally believe that it is out and that he should agree with you.

Mind you, I hate bowlers who appeal aggressively for even the slightest chance of getting a wicket. If I was an umpire, I would take this into account when looking at any close decision.

It was a weird dismissal. Sometimes they're such an uncommon type of wicket your natural thought is surely it's not out. The Pakistanis and Indians are out of control with their appealing.

Lol need to buy Edward Scissorhands a dictionary. Pretty loose interpretation of "coward". Can't keep, can't bat, can't speak English.

Not justifying him at all, but at least Haddin could claim to be a competent keeper batsman with a good solid career. Wade, earn your stripes pal.

The missus & I went to the awesome sheep farm where they filmed parts of LOTR last year.
The only hobbit there was Matt Wade.

I would take very few things Khawaja does or says seriously outside his batting... He's the kid in class who can't sit still and always has a smart arse comment to make

Sage man that Mystery

Also, not sure about these league behaviours creeping into the Australian team (or just Australian behaviours) - the Hopoate to relax in the anthems, what's next dogs in the changing room afterwards?
