New Zealand self destructing. Was a great innings by Ryder though.

I think Guptill must have slept with Baxter's old lady or something. That's two ordinary decisions against him in the last week or so by Baxter. Then again, with Gary Baxter by his standards they will probably go down in his resume as some of his best decision making. Needs to start eating carrots that guy, got no idea.

What else can you do, I guess? You either smile or cry...

I don't think NZ bowled badly, as such. I think they're just too similar. Medium pace, no swing, line and length bowlers on a tiny field and a pitch that resembled freshly set tarmac. India simply picked up on the length early because of the lack of variation and played brilliantly

Wasn't line and length mate, unless you consider half volleys on leg stump line and length.

yeah game is over now obviously, but we were looking pretty good til Ryder ran McCullum out. Ryder is a terrible runner between the wickets.

EDIT: Was nice to see Ryder make some runs though. Was getting a bit worried that his ODI career was starting to go the same way as his OD domestic record.. it still could, but today was encouraging

God to wonder about Taylor, his dismissal was... crazy. I thought during the West Indies ODI series that he was getting his head together, played some good innings against Australia also but here, when he was required to back up Ryder, the old Masterton boys ready to unite, he loses his mind. Mind you, I thought he was reasonably close on the leg before wicket to be honest.

I think that`s exactly why he quickly started running, to try and avoid being given. Some players do stuff like that, shuffling across the wicket after they`re hit or start running, it may confuse the umpire.

Good Oram shot. He's lost the ability to play in front of the wicket.

Can he go back to Central Districts now? His importance to the New Zealand team this summer is nothing but a myth.

Him in particular. He's viewed as the golden child around the selection tables.

Just got back from the ground- great match to watch.

We missed Vettori- for his bowling, and his captaincy. McCallum more or less sacrificed Southee- not what a young player needs. He also over bowled Ryder. It was a shame Butler injured himself. We also missed O'Brien.

Ryder is the hero and the villain- him running out McCallum was the turning point of the game.

Disappointed with Taylor.

Great to see Mills and Southee hit out at the end,
