This Eranga guy is doing really well on his debut, got Haddin with his second ball and just took the big wicket of Ponting

Clarke and M Hussey batting together now Australia 52/3 after 13

I was going to say it's not over yet, but then Johnson got out, and it has to be just about over now.

189/8 over 41.1 Aus require 98 from 53 balls with 2 wickets in hand.

Good to see that myth Dussey continue to fail when the pressure is on, Haddin is struggling up the top of the order time for a change. I can't believe Dougie has been left out of the test squad i bet the Lankans are happy.

Dussey, Smith and Haddin have to go. Smith needs to go back to domestic cricket and rediscover his form.

Agreed...and as long as none of the replacements are Cameron Shite then I'm happy for all 3 to go, again what has Dussey done since being recalled to the ODI squad other then jag a few wickets?

Don't know why we went back to him after the Bangladesh series, Ferguson continues to be robbed even when he smacks 50s for Aus A.

Australian captain Michael Clarke highlighted a failure to perform at the top of the order for the 78-run loss to Sri Lanka on Tuesday.
Australia could not capitalise on their opening two victories in the five-match series, with batsman unable to handle the bowling of lively paceman Lasith Malinga (5-28).
Sri Lanka compiled 286 batting first at Hambantota, on the back of Upul Tharanga's sublime opening knock of 111. Australia managed just 208 in reply before they were dismissed.
"We didn't perform well enough at the top of the order," Clarke said after the result.
"We have no excuses. We didn't perform as well as we would like and we know that."
"We have some work to do over the next few days because, as I said from the start, playing Sri Lanka, especially in their home conditions, you have to be at your best to beat them."
Clarke managed 46 while Michael Hussey top-scored with 63 to offer some resistance, but Malinga's devastating pace and length deliveries proved the difference.
Sri Lanka captain Tillakaratne Dilshan was also full of praise for his leading bowler, who has just returned from a back injury.
"The first 10 overs were crucial, and we did well to see them off," Dilshan said. "All the batsmen that followed did well."
"We believed 260 was good to defend, and we proved it. (Shaminda) Eranga bowled really well, and Malinga was good as usual."
The series now moves to the capital Colombo, where the fourth match takes place on Saturday.

Interesting news from the Sri Lanka camp:

Sri Lanka have dropped promising batsman Dinesh Chandimal, allrounder Thisara Perera and left-arm spinner Rangana Herath from the squad for the final two one-dayers against Australia. Seekkuge Prasanna, the 26-year-old legspinner, has been called up and has to fly back from England, where he was representing Sri Lanka A.

And would you look at this headline
Doug Bollinger wants the ODI side to set the bar for the Australia Test squad against Sri Lanka

the context makes it acceptable, that would be a real facepalm comment otherwise.
