It's sudden death, and the Jaapies are chokers... but hard to see how we can win... our hope is that one of McCullum, Taylor or Ryder goes ballistic... possible, about time Ryder showed the workd how good he is on a big stage - here's hoping

I gotta credit ryder. I think he worked out what the pitch was worth total wise and played a mature hand by his standards. Critical innings and partnership.

Well it's nice to see the Saffas choke again, but can someone explain to me how this format is better than previous world cups? We just had a month of cricket in which time New Zealand won just one meaningful game, a game which was probably fixed anyway, and where South Africa (England game aside) played brilliant cricket and that's all pointless now because of one game. What an utter waste of time that was. 2007 World Cup, with the quicker group stage and the Super 8's was a much fairer system of deciding the best teams based on consistently playing well.

Oh well, I forgot, India and Pakistan weren't good enough were they? Hence we gotta change to this format with the dullest group stage in history dragging on for four weeks with little relevance.

Depends who you ask

Tim Nielson and Andrew Hidlich would say weve had a marvelous tournament, exeeding expectations and very unlucky to draw india in the qtr final

Did you see the whole team give it to him after he had run out De Villiers? Even Mills got involved who was 12th man. Was great to see.

New Zealand Black Caps are facing the prospect of being punished later today after a strange fight in the late stages of their World Cup cricket win over South Africa.
The Associated Press reports match referee Roshan Mahanama is investigating an altercation between the teams as South Africa was beginning to struggle at 122 for five.
A BBC blog describes the incident in which New Zealand 12th man Kyle Mills ran on with the drinks, ''and got involved with the SA batsmen.
''It all got a bit heated there,'' the blog said.
The Guardian says the fracas ''may cost New Zealand''.
AP said Mills appeared to say something to South African batsman Faf du Plessis when he came onto the pitch shortly after AB de Villiers had been run out.
That led to a confrontation between the two sets of players, and an ICC spokesman said Mohanama is "looking into an incident involving Daniel Vettori, Kyle Mills and Faf du Plessis."
A ruling is expected later today from Bangladesh.

He's Sth African, you sound almost surpised at him being an arrogant toss bag... it's fundamental to their very existance... narcissim is an essential...

but, who the f**k is he anyway???

Hopefully Ryder keeps it up, and doesn't have a few beers to celebrate

What started the fight? It looked hilarious all of the Kiwis giving that douche sh*t even the 12th man lol
i wonder if it had something to do with his interview in the build up to the match where he said he was happy they drew NZ. and that he wasn't worried at all about them...

i actually didnt think it was too bad when i heard it... maybe he said something else...

I also didn't think there was much to be taken out of that article.

Would of been a combination of that/reminding him that he ran out AB De Villiers & maybe he was a merkin when we batted.

There was another article where he was suggesting that basically as long as the South African team bus got to the ground they'd be alright... not quite those words of course, but the inference was as long as they played half decent they'd roll NZ no problems. The irony with it is most around the world had no idea who the hell he was. Just a park cricketer noob nuffie.

Great way to wind the opposition up unnecessarily.

Speaking of Seth Efrikans, how much improvement has Jacob Oram and Tim Southee made as bowlers with Allan Donald being around? That man needs to be given a full time contract (isn't he just on a contract to the end of the World Cup?)
