Yeah, I was there on the first day, play could have easily started at 12:40 instead of 1:10. Ground staff and umpires need to get their act together.

The curator said it was fine to play on but Billy Bowden's ego is too big and said it would start when he says

he has to go

 Kallis runs out Gibbs.... not quite but that was poor....
If Kallis ran and didn't send Gibbs back, he would have been run out himself ..he wouldn't have got there in time either.

Poor communication didn't help the cause.

Kallis should have sacrificed himself and ran. Gibbs was putting SA in a good position.

agreed
Gibbs was going well, Kallis is batting it into another snoore fest.
SAF wont win with Kallis batting at under 2 an over

If RSA can make 225-250 odd and set Australia close to 350 with around 15 overs left to bowl tomorrow then we're in for an awesome run chase. I'd back SA because of the wearing wicket if there was to be a winner although i too would put my money on a draw right now.

Finally, a test match down under with an exciting finish in store.

This would have been the first exciting finish to a test in AUS since India won in Adalaide.

I disagree Kallis should sacrificed himself because of someone elses bad call. However his communication was poor

Gibbs was flaying boundries everywhere hurting the aussies. Kallis was sitting on 14 from 47 balls stalling SA's chances for victory. Regardless of who was at fault, Kallis should have sacrificed his wicket for the greater good of the team given the situation of the match.
