Hughes got hundreds though and circumstances are a little different Uzi as well as Hughes felt the wrath of more depth. Will be tougher when Watson returns. Uzi will get another chance.

That minor issue he had where he was making less runs at a lower average than Hughes. They couldn't have justified dropping Hughes and not dropping Khawaja. It was both or neither (should have been neither).

For the 3rd test I'd make these changes:

Watson has scored 2 centuries in 58 innings so I hardly think that can be held against Hughes

Hughes has no chance, Cowan getting runs, Warner will be persisted with regardless of form due to his destructive style and Watson,Marsh and Khawaja look ahead of him in the pecking order.

Yep but with Hughes it was 100 or bust, he only scored 3 scores over 50 also. Watto 16 50+ scores in 32 matches.

Yep but with Hughes it was 100 or bust, he only scored 3 scores over 50 also. Watto 16 50+ scores in 32 matches.

Because Hughes scored big scores. Uzi has not and Marsh did when he got an opportunity.

Uzi is extremely talented but he had plenty of opportunities to get a score.
