Bowlers win matches and if I was picking a team to play for my life out of the players I've seen in my lifetime, McGrath would be my first pick.

And I'd feel damn good about my chances with him in my team.

40% of his wickets were batters 1-3, which is higher than Lillee Marshall Ambrose Hadlee Steyn and Imran... basically everyone I checked by at least 4%. Howstat is my bible, what a website.

Best new ball bowler of all-time.

Wow that is an awesome stat.

Without harping on about it, it's a travesty that Nevill was punted after the Hobart debacle, a greentop against an attack at the top of their game who were able to take advantage of the conditions, for a clown that can't catch and who has been afforded the luxury of coming to the crease in the last 2 matches with Australia 5 for a thousand and still can't get past 30 despite being lauded as a better bat than Nevill....

As near as I can tell, the last 5 Test innings Nevill played, he came to the crease with Australia on the following scores - 5/80, 5/80, 5/115, 5/17 and 5/140 and has a highest score of 60 not out across 5 innings. Wade on the other hand since returning to the team has arrived at the crease with Australia 5/277, 5/334, 5/199, 5/433 and 5/477 and has a highest score of 29.....

It's mind blowing that outside of his family, anyone could think Wade deserves to be in the side ahead of Nevill... and even some of his family I'm sure would just be going along with it to be nice to him....

Because the debate was Hazlewood vs Radradra.

I didn't check Starc but I'm not surprised if he does well here because he bowls full and swings it when he's on song.

*edit* I see he averages roughly 30 everywhere except Bellerive again.

He's better than that so I think even he hasn't had it all his own way on most Aussie pitches.

It all just puts McGrath in perspective even more. 22 at home, 20 away.

According to Cricinfo Handscombe has the gloves on as Matt Wade is off the field due to feeling unwell.
