There has been a shitload of people in this forum poke fun at the Boxing Day Teat weather over the years. Well, if there was a test match that seems absolutely plagued with missing days of cricket, the SCG test is it. All I seem to remember from recent memory is days missed.
Funny thing about this test is....if it actually started on New Years Day, Australia would have won the match before the 5th day....lol.

Dams need to be built around the SCG where water can be streamed to country areas. We'd never have water problems ever again!!!

Lunch to be taken 1230pm
Inspection at 1245pm

Seems sun trying to break out and some blue skies , no more rain hopefully

I’d guess play to resume around 230pm at earliest?

I'll be extremely surprised if we bat on after this lunch break. Personal milestones are nice but the result of the match is far more important. And with 368 balls faced I think he has had more than a fair chance at securing 200.

Australia declare.
Has come as a surprise to all.
Players need to prepare.
Start of play 5.45pm?
FMD cricket shoots itself in the foot.

As well as pitches, grounds should have post match weather ratings in the style of the pitch ratings. Ratings are as follows:

Perth/India, Sunnies til 4, Average, Anywhere in New Zealand, Sydney

2 Sydneys and a New Zealand in any 5 year rolling period suspends that ground from international matches for 3 years.

Lol. The amount of full wet days is done since 1882. It’s a meaningless stat tbh.

How many days were lost because a test was completed in three days in Sydney?

Yeah, Khawaja can appear to be lackadaisical at times and even at the end of the day 2, when it really seemed as if Cummins was waiting for him to Australia's hurt, he didn't really kick into gear.
