Looking forward to seeing Lyon and X bowl in partnership. Should help us a lot compared to the first 2 Tests and not having 2 frontliner spinners.

I can see Starc scoring a test hundred in the future, his batting is very good, will eventually be a bowling all rounder IMO

So what can Vegieman and Starc on 99 do with the new ball? How many byes will Flipperhands concede? How many times will Lyon look over his shoulder at sixes flying over the sight screen?

Could see him getting out on 99 from a mile away. Kept swinging at everything. Oh well good innings regardless and he has accumulated more runs in one innings than Hughes entire series.

Well exactly. Big time shake of the nerves there. Great innings though, he deserved a ton. Reminds me slightly of 6-pack Dipak Patel against England in '92 at Lancaster Park. On 97 he pushes a nice drive down through mid on, Derek Pringle, who used to bowl the ball back from the outfield because he had a bung shoulder gets it past mid-on, Patel decides to go for a third, Pringle's bowl into the bowler is in this case delivered like a modern day Allan Donald and 6-pack's dive is in vain - never got another chance at a century. Hopefully Starc gets one in the future, he looks a genuinely good bat.

Hughes will be asking him to be his batting coach. Would he have a higher test batting average than Hughes now?
