Steve Smith has very little imagination as a captain.

.
People are saying the same about Williamson (correctly in both cases) - they will say the same about Root, and likely Kohli when he's under pressure - at the end of the day they're all inexperienced captains - people will say they've played 50 odd tests etc, but that's the majority of their first class experience, they've learned the game at international level, and are still learning

credit to Pujara as he made the best of the chances we gave him

this is where we are hurting from the failure of our top order in the first innings, we should have batted longer on this pitch which really offered nothing on the first few days

I think Australia have missed such a good opportunity to win a series in India. They have prepared and applied themselves far better than most expected, and really should have had at the very least, a drawn series by winning that second test. There is just not enough patience outside Smith and Renshaw in this batting line-up.

You can tell Smith wants this result so badly, but he has just been let down by most of his other batsmen, time after time. I think this could end up being 3-1 India, and that would not be a fair reflection of the series at all.

Anyone else see Virat carrying on tapping his should when they got the school boy out? ha-ha

The Indians try way too hard to be 'tough' and just end up looking like f**kwits... Wouldn't know a good sledge if it came up and dislocated their shoulder...

In other news poor old Warners confidence must be at an all time low, He must be having nightmares about his inability to even look barely competent against the spinners.. And to think Ussie was dropped for not being to play spin.. Warner cant even utter the word at the moment without going into the foetal position .. I imagine its the same way he feels when he thinks about SBW... ha-ha

in other other news... I still think we can bat out at least two sessions and draw the match. The pitch is nothing like the first two and to be honest we may as well go home and forfeit the last test if we cant bat out the day...

Regarding the media going off on Kholi - he has trolled them well because when they say he is making himself the focus I bet he has sat down with his teammates and said even though I'm not performing I'm going to get under their skin and they love it.

That or he is just a massive flog.

200 overs. 196 from 4 bowlers.

Smith gave Maxwell 4 overs across 2 days.

FFS...no wonder Australian bowlers break down. Smith could have had a bowl too, the lazy merkin. Warner a few overs. Mix it up.

Sure...the run rates from the bowlers were 2.5-3.5 runs per over but that's really shit coaching/captaincy that 4 bowlers were bowled that much.

AND...the Warner, the merkin, doesn't bat for more than 5 overs. FFS!!! FFS!!! x 1000000000.

I'm ranting.

I know.

Hayden said Australia were 100 short in first innings. Spot on the money. That's Marsh and Warner not giving us anything.

And who was the f**king genius that sent in Lyon as nightwatchman after his first innings dismissal!?!?

possibly just punishment for his diabolical bowling - given their workloads I doubt Hazelwood, Cummins or O'Keefe were in any state to walk let alone bat.

If we make lunch, it'll be a major achievement.

If we can draw, or make the day...I will blow every goddamn LU member on here and film it for pay-per-view then go watch AFL for the next ten years.

It's so frustrating. Two tests frittered away.
I get the blowing everyone on here but do you really want to put yourself through the stinking pile of shit that is AFL???
