If we batted like this, I'd stop watching Australia play test cricket regardless of the circumstances so you're 100% strike rate of being wrong about everything continues.

I'm getting nervous lads!!!
I've been nervous since we batted past the world record total.

That Doolan innings. And basically all of those last 100 runs were such a waste.

If we lose we have ourselves to blame.

If we had the trophy. And we were 3/15 chasing 500+. You'd expect us to still go for the win?

Like batting for a draw has never given us exciting cricket. Remember the 2005 and 2009 Ashes? Two of the greatest and most exciting series ever. 40% of the Tests ended in draws.

Dean Jones has tweeted its time for Warner or Smith to bowl some leggies.

I reckon the way Warner is going at the moment I'd bring him on, he can do no wrong.

Abbott with a 1st class average of 18 has survived 80 balls.

If they make it he deserves so much of the credit. The more he does the less Faf and Duminy need to do.
hindsight is 20/20

patience

Fair point. Two quick wickets any time before tea and we've all but won. But it's not just hindsight, a lot of people were questioning how long we were batting at the time.

With runs not a factor there is no risk at all in bringing on the part timers.

This really could be a situation of a half tracker or a sloppy full toss breaking their concentration and getting the wicket.

Losing a wicket to a parttimer after fighting for so long could be just the thing to break their spirit.

I'm surprised Warner hasn't been used much in the past. He turns the ball quite a bit.

Nevertheless, I don't think it will hurt Clarke to throw in a bowling option out of left field to try something different
