Khawaja and SMarsh pretty much throwing their wickets away.
Obviously facing 400 balls and scoring 10 runs doesn't help much either but still gotta be smarter with shot selection.

Bancroft gone. Good ball.
We're stuffed.
He played a good innings. If we had a few more batsmen dig in we'd be in good shape.
Put Renshaw in at 3 maybe. Khawaja having on good innings in 5 won't win us many games.

You can just see this series going the exact same way as it did in India a year ago, we smash them in the first game and a few players throwing their wickets away in the rest of the tests is the difference.

Vintage australian batting of the past decade...crumbling to perfection. Smith can't buy a run and our top score of the series made by a dud Marsh. Hard to see us saving this series on this form.

Rabada is world class, one of the best in the world (rankings have him as the best), it's one thing to say someone should be coming forward but then he puts one at your chin and you second guess your next forward movement and he's not bowling throw downs.. any doubt and you're walking back
Wow. Could you possibly fit any more cliches into that rambling dribble? Talk about stating the bleeding obvious as one's own original thoughts lol...

FFS, these batsmen need the biggest kick up the arse. No metal at all.

I’d also get rid of khawaja.

His last 20 innings -

7 times past 50

But the other 13 times he’s failed to go past 20

Hindsight is a wonderfull thing but wonder if we should have gone Sayers over Starc? Not convinced Starc is 100% fit

Anyway , dear oh dear where to from here? Try and scramble another 20-40 runs today (likely scenario we will make 2-4 runs).

Try and bowl SA out for under 250. (Likely scenario they will make over 350)

We run down the chase and win by 6 wickets (likely scenario we lose by 150 runs)

I have zero confidence we will win this test, absolute sub zero.

Seems mental disintegration works on Davey dumb dumb. He's lost the plot

He was very attacking, but the ball that got him out was a pearler, straightened him up. Could have got behind it better but he wasn’t looking to belt it like the previous 5 boundaries.

Just clipped the top of off stump. Umpire probably gives it not out if he got hit on the pad. Them the breaks
