Every time I watch England play it's what could have been. They should be right in this and they should have handled the hopeless Kiwis easily

I actually like Klemmer when he carries on like that for blues but it was very satisfying to see him bleeding then.

lets be fair, England are a very good rl team, unfortunately aus are an exceptional rl unit and machine, big down point for me today was I was sick of hearing the whistle and seeing the ref, I don't want to watch ru! I want to see fast flowing end to end rl where the officials let it run not stop start penalty fests

Australia push the limits...they should have been penalised way more for offside, hands on the ball and markers not straight. They got away with it and until they penalised constantly for it...they will be hard to beat.

Exactly. Always what could have been.
Over 20 years...... so disappointing for RL
20 years! If only. I agree though, once again England have let the game down by failing miserably when it mattered the most. It's not even a great Australian side just an efficient and clinical one.

Starting the only England half that can play on the bench for 55 mins proves to be another Bennett masterstroke . . . Oh wait

England haven't beaten Australia since 1995 and the last time GB did was 2006.

So Bennett has won more premierships in that time than England/GB has won games v Australia.

I don't think the coach is the problem somehow.
I can't argue with you ECT, much as I'd like to. The whole mentality here is just focussed on SL. The development of the next generation is left to chance. We'll snatch a win once in a blue moon and it'll paper over the cracks but Australia and the Kiwis will be contesting the WC finals. The game here needs a total root and branch overhaul. Never mind though SL is only a couple of months away.

I strongly agree with this. NRL.com has England missing 42 tackles that's not good enough. They have some very good players but also a lot of average guys. Bennett said in the post match press conference he is trialling the different halves, he obviously has a long term view to the World Cup next year.
