Only when Australia bats, remember.
Ross Taylor got 290 on the WACA - Williamson got tons at the GABA and WACA and beat Mr Slave into submission

They do suit your bowlers, for the most part, but whether it's good for cricket I don't know - in green conditions in the UK England will likely flog you again - so we're left with a stalemate - your bats are champions on flat decks (Smith is the exception, although whether he's got weaknesses when the ball moves off the pitch) and hopeless in conditions helping bowlers - and your bowlers give you a chance in most places...

Warner's obviously a student of cricket, saying the Poms don't produce fast bowlers LOL - he would do well (along with many Australians) to spend a few seasons playing county cricket and learning how to bat when the ball moves

Nice to see the Kiwi’s try and gain a modicum of relevance. It’s truely amazing how when Australia bats on any deck it’s a road and when New Zealand bats on the same deck it turns into a minefield.

Warner made it look easy....

England overall bowled quite well and consistently not getting much from the deck....

Australia have been quite disciplined and patient.....

Bancroft was out of sorts and couldn't get going....

Khawaja with experience had to do more..... 5 off 46 balls at one stage and it affected Warner and would've frustrated him......

Then Smith has been in cruise control and Marsh has done his job.......

We are looking to try score 450 ish and have a quick go at England for 20 overs tomorrow.......

Anderson, Broad bowled well without much luck and Curran tried hard and was trying things.....

Ali was shit and Malan went quite well...

No one asked you.

I agree with JJ these pitches are killing cricket, but as long as we get 5 days and try and get as many people as possible through the turnstiles that’s all that matters.

Chairman Victorians fat bonus depends on it.

Plenty of folk in RL jerseys and caps and singlets at the G. Nice to see.

Quite literally one of the greatest moments in my life was watching Warner be called back to the crease and him tonning up. To watch the poms who had nothing really to cheer and get so venomous with their send offs towards flat track Davey have to sit back down and cop it royal deluxe from the convicts...bwah ha ha ha.

Was a funny day .

First and third session of 100 runs and a grind middle session. Very entertaining.

anyone else hear this yesterday ?

Warne: Curran has a really good slower ball, he bowls it out of the back of his hand and bowls it with a fair bit of pace, I think its actually faster than his normal ball.

Warne is a blithering idiot but he didn't say that. He said his arm speed for the slower ball was really good, maybe slightly faster than when he bowls his on pace delivery, and that made it harder to identify the slow one.

Damn, he is a good bowler if he can bend time and space. Bowls it slow, but speeds up time. genius.

I heard him mention the arm speed, hard to hear everything above the pub crowd but sounded to me like he was saying it was faster than his normal fast ball

Batsmen aren't looking at his arm they look at his hand, its easy enough to pick

I listened to them fap on about the Sultana of Sting on the earpiece.

Fug me...if he was much chop he'd have debuted before Ball and Overton.

Stumps 3/244

We are in front, but getting Smith early tomorrow morning might sway things a bit. Surely Mitch Marsh is gonna flunk this time around?

Poms: Will look to bowl us out for under 375
Us: We will look to bat till after tea day 2, get around 500-550 with 10-15 overs at them tomorrow night
We won't be scoring 300 more runs at 4 an over I don't think......

It'll be slower than that.....

FMD Ch9 are dropping the ball.
They had all that Ashes footage from 19 dicketty 7, and not one shot of Chaps at the crease.

They showed his first Test wicket but. Helluva caught and bowled. They were much harder back then because the nuns broke everyones hands in school.
