That's a nasty rock

Starc looks a different bowler this summer. Amazingly it does seem he should have been given a rest last year when his old man passed

But if we consider him as good, if not a better all rounder than Green at this point then why not bolster number 6 with an out and out batsmen in those conditions?

Well because unless you have Starc batting 7 and Carey 6 (which means the batsman doesn't fit anyway) that out and out batsman probably doesn't allow you to play 2 quicks, 2 spinners and a bloke up the order who bowls 140s like we were discussing, I suppose

Atherton is spot on about Crawley. He is definitely the best opener England have shown in this series. He has work to do but should definitely be at the top of the list during the rebuild.
