Yep our top orders problems were all solved by dropping our best opener.
But am I celebrating? No. Because I know if Warner does get dropped the f**kwit selectors are more likely to promote Watson again instead of Hughes.
I've given up hope of Hughes playing tests in the forseable future. He's been made the scapegoat and won't be around for a long time if ever.
Not celebrating at all. Obviously any non geniused person knows Hughes should have been given a real go at the top of the order. Everyone knows Warner isn't good enough to be a test opener. After the 2nd test I said all I wanted was for Hughes to have the next 3 tests opening and if he didn't average 40 I'd never advocate for him to play tests ever again. But the selectors in their infinite wisdom thought Warner deserved a go after scoring runs once out of 4 goes on a road in Africa.BM will be celebrating.

Because they don't have a fraction of the talent he had? They need every last millisecond of time to have any hope of doing something with each delivery.I dont understand why in conditions like these, batsmen don't do a Matty Hayden and stand outside the crease and force bowlers to change their length.
