He was going to bowl first in this test, merkin is cooked. Time for the people in charge to make some big boy decisions. His bowling now is also suffering.
That's my worry he seems to say he would have bowled first as well regularly despite losing the toss.

I hope he learns the lesson of Paine and just bats first at the oval if he wins the toss.

I said during the WTC final the last 2 ashes tests and wtc final played at the oval teams have won the toss bowled first and got flogged.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he is just saying that , to mind f..k the Poms and keep making them let us bat first in the next test, when we lose the toss again. Honestly nothing gained to be up front and honest after losing the toss

(and I was a swash buckling batsman and express pace bowler batting at the Royal no8 positon ) . Point being if I think like this, surely the cream at the top do as well ?

In the words of the late Rex Mossop

“Winners are grinners, losers can make their own arrangements”

😆😆😆
Winners have parties losers have meetings.

I guess England players can sit down and discuss amongst themselves what they are all going write in there exclusive columns they have for there newspapers and wisden while playing the moral high card that they should be lifting the urn.

Half the team have a column.

Rain has often been a factor in places like England...

Poms have themselves top blame tbh, they continue with the entertainment, moral victory jibberish, but mindless ill-discipline was a big factor in being 2-0 down...

Strange (but entertaining) series, I'd have thought neither team would be especially happy with how they've made decisions, played under pressure - Baz will disagree, of course

Bazball is as much of a failure as our tactics, dead set.

Declared day one first test, lost. This test rolls around with a forecast that basically foreshadows a three day Test, and they bat way too long cos the first test scared them. So much for fearless aggressive Bazball

Yep batting on for so long when they knew the rain was coming was absolutely ridiculous. They only have themselves to blame there was only 1 side that could win the test after day 2.

My only wish is we were 9/70 when the rain hit because that would be even funnier.

What a bunch of sooks England are.
yes - having the series taken away from them due to a rain affected draw is a better way to rub it in to these pack of wankers than winning 5-0
