Just because Hussey calls for the second, Haddin was the one who actually saw that there was no second run there. I`m not saying Hussey`s not to blame, but Haddin had to refuse the second run, cos he saw the fielder.

Wrong again. There may well have been two there, Haddin did the right thing and started to back up in case Hussey called him through. If Hussey had turned & called correctly, everything would have been fine. The decision is in Hussey's hands, not Haddin's. It is stupid to say Haddin should have sent Hussey back, because he may of thought there was a 2nd and was waiting on Hussey's call.

Well I know that I would have said a loud no, whatever Hussey was calling, because it looked too risky. I don`t want either myself or my partner to be run out, even if he`s keen to mess things up.

Because from your lounge you could see the exact risk of the run could you?

Please play Cumming in the next match..what a sensational selection..drop a spinner IN ADELAIDE for a nuffy "batsman" who can't catch!

The kiwis were embarrased about having to play with 11 men against Australia's 10 so they brought Cummings in to counter White and make it 10 on 10.

Kiwis got a couple of decent young players on tour who haven't played. I know they're just there for experience, but they could've done a lot better than Cumming. Diamanti is an all rounder, his batting would've been better than Cumming and his extra bowling option would've been useful as well.

They'd probably make Elliot pay the equivalent of the portion (so if he was fined 25% of his match fee, it comes out of his own pocket and not the money donated already).

Well if they try I hope he tells them to go and get stuffed.

No excuses for a clanger like that. i bet Steve Bucknor would have given Callum Ferguson out. Cal should buy himself a lotto ticket.

How the hell did Dave Nuffy get MOTM ahead of his brother? Was that fat Victorian Merv picking the award?

And can someone tell me please what exactly does Cameron Shyte bring to the team?
He's batted for australia 30 times (tests, ODI, twenty 20 combined) and has a highest score of 46, and lets face it he's not an all rounder's ****hole. Name me another specialist batsman who could have his record and still keep getting picked?
Makes me wish Sunshine wasn't injured, now thats saying something

Can we please not pick Craig Cumming for the next match if he is picked don't bat him at 6. I'd like to see Trent Boult come into the side tbh.

On that run-out, I thought it was Haddin`s fault, he had clear view of where the ball went and what the fielder was doing, he had to see there was no run, no matter what Hussey was calling.

it was Hussey's call, he was running to the danger end

he actually called yes, then no

Hussey screwed up.. bygones

Have they said how much money was raised yet? Apparently phone lines in NZ have been very busy - deep down we actually like you lot (well, not El Diablo, but most of the rest of you)...

Just over the 6 million mark was the amount shown on TV..but I think they are doing it again at the GABBA so that figure should increase..what is piss poor is Rudd giving 15 million. If you can afford 42 billion worth of crap..then surely a national disaster needs a minimum of 5 billion

Agreed.

They raised about $15,000 just in the collection buckets around the ground last night.

I believe the 15mill was a portion of the 42 bill

It is not just personal properties (homes)- schools, roads, shopping centres, businesses etc. 5 billion wouldn't even be enough but at least it is more realistic.
