Leave some juice in the wicket. These roads with big bats and in most cases smaller boundaries is ruining the contests. If bats then still want to go on the tonk and get rolled for 120 occasionally it would beat the hell out of 3/330 plays 5/332 each game.

Hastings has got his pace up. Late 130s to 140's in early spells. Tiring now?

Goat has looked better.

Anyone could score a ton on these wickets - except maybe MMarsh.

How predictable have these games become.

Tough when it's been been 35+ for the best part of a month, and the pitches are built hard to be used several times down here. No point making a big square when you get three games a year and some local T20.

The major issue is the absolute plodders sending the ball down and a complete lack of effort in the field. The number of short, nothing balls has been staggering

As bazal said there are practical considerations why the canberra pitch sucks.

People have been calling australian wickets flat since bradman was a boy. The mcg pitch was ok. This pitch is flat but we all knew it was going to be. The bowling flatout stinks

It would be OK if the other grounds weren't f**king roads as well.
Give us some variety in the grounds.
Even worse the commentators seem to dance around the fact without bringing up what everyone else is thinking.

That's the point. WACA for the NZ test was in the top 5 worst wickets of this millennium. The ODI tracks are dreadful tripe. Full marks to Josh Hazlewood, his results on these decks have been utterly world class.

The Australian wickets were without peer for so long because from ground to ground they varied. Bouncy in some places, broke up in other places.

Tubby makes a good point about lack of pace, these plodders are cannon fodder on this pitch

The pitches have been rough the last few years but the facts are since 2012 australian bowlers are taking wickets in australia at about on par with the rest of the world. Its just touring bowlers who suck.
