Tough when it's been been 35+ for the best part of a month, and the pitches are built hard to be used several times down here. No point making a big square when you get three games a year and some local T20.

The major issue is the absolute plodders sending the ball down and a complete lack of effort in the field. The number of short, nothing balls has been staggering

Come off it Sharma and Ashwin have been tonked as well.

Btw with umpires needing protective equipment from balls being smashed by huge bats, do we really need them anymore?

This is a typical late season Manuka wicket. If you want a green top get CA to play here in October. they have bowled terribly. Not sure what relevance Ashwin has given he isn't playing
