Scored nearly 11,000 ODI runs as well @ 40, nothing to be sneezed at either, but yeah he was built for the Test arena. Definitely my pick for best Indian Test bat I've seen.

Sorry I'm going to crap on about a topic that has been mentioned ad nauseum on this forum, but it needs to be said again that the pitches so far in this bilateral series have been absolutely pedestrian.

Would love to see either the Canberra or SCG pitch have even just a slight tinge of green (like the day/night Adelaide test). Sick and tired of all these 290+ 1st innings scores where batsmen can score with consummate ease and the likes of Sharma and Kohli's batting averages get inflated. I miss pitches such as these:

It's been far too hot in Canberra for there to be any green in the wicket imo, unfortunately.

Yes, I'm aware of Tendulkar. Across all formats he's the best the game has ever seen, I think Dravid was better for the Indian side than Tendulkar in the Test area.

India to win the toss and bowl.

Aus to come out and try and score 400 only to be 3/13 in the 4th over of a very flat wicket. Eventually score 260 & lose.

Me to sit and drink mid strength in 35 degree heat and pretend to enjoy it.

Book it in!

 I'm not looking forward to the heat tomorrow....I reckon we could be in another Manuka Oval 375-400 score tbh, depending on the sides named. Its a flat wicket and the heat and particularly the dry air at that temperature will hurt the bowlers

Just saw that our win on Sunday gives us 17 straight ODI wins at home, pretty impressive record. I also just saw that Boland is averaging over 200 with the ball.

and almost 7 runs per over

Williamson/Taylor/Macca will demolish him if he is picked to go across the ditch. The again we picked Mick Lewis and he won us a game or two from memory ??

by sneaky you mean sweaty

Nah, humidity is actually looking reasonable at the moment. Mid level somewhere, not the awful soul crushing arid heat we get. Ball might even swing if this cloud cover hangs about

I'd say about that yeah. It's typically quite flat this late in the year. It may spin though, which could bring that par down. Huge playing surface so plenty of two's and threes to be had

It's actually quite humid at the ground too so it may swing early. Potentially. The cloud is clearing fast so it might dry the air out a lot by the time play starts

if its devoid of green like you say Baz then India will probabaly play 2 spinners which will give them their best shot yet at beating us
