Explosive start from McCallum and Guptill; hopefully they don't throw away their wickets in all this excitement

Against quality sides its always a case of one too many for McCullum. Im counting down the balls till he gets himself out - will probably land up in the 20's or early 30's....

Was going to say Watson bowling like sh*t but hes got the wicket now :) What on earth is with that umpire though, I keep seeing his left hand sticking out and thinking oh sh*t a no ball.

If mccullun and taylor stay around for the next 35 overs, will be game over

To be honest, smith is as biased as they come. But on this occassion I just think he wants us to put up a decent fight and make a game of it.

I dont have a problem with him, nothing wrong with a bit of passion.

Its just not something I've ever heard from a commentator before.

I like Smith and the Kiwi commentators. They are unashamedly Kiwi fans- he is the first to praise them and the first to offer an honest critique

Great 50 from McCallum; hopefully he can go on with it and post a bit total

2 quick ones including McCullum

the wheels are falling off again after a very good start

kiwis just seem to be a batsman or two from being a top team, need a bit of depth imo

4/130 at the half way mark, Harry Potter in early today

Another game gone to the dogs.

Yeah depth issue is fair - with ryder and elliot back the team looks VERY competitive, but we lack quality batsmen to come in when injuries strike.

Stewart is an ok player, nobody in NZ thought Ingram would succeed, How and Fulton are out of form...

The two best options; Williamson and Watling, are too young to play in a series like this against Aus.
