I'm from Brisbane but I am realistic and think that the new franchise should be on the Central Coast of NSW. I don't think many of our players would want to live all the way away in Perth.

Are there any rugby comps in Perth ?
I'm pretty sure there are, with 100,000 south africans and a fair few kiwis there it'd be almost certain.
I think Perth is a much better bet than Melbourne.

Mate if you read the papers you will find that super 12 audience on Foxtel have risen 75% since it started .
Its only been on 9 years and Foxtel are happy with the 75% increase

Er, since the number of Foxtel subscribers have risen over *300%* during that time, having only a 75% increase in S12 ratings is *terrible*!

Here come's the Stats man ! Bayrep , Perth has a very strong rugby union comp . Their representive side (Perth Gold) won the Australian Shield and have been runners up a couple of times to NSW country and Queensland Heelers .
Melbourne Axemen's , Adaleide Falcons and Darwin Mosquito's also contest the Australian shield .

Some of you make out that Union is doing better in Aus than most of the pundits on this site would lead you to believe. You have to wonder with the influx of South Africans and people from the Islands whether this is having a bigger influence on the sporting scene in Aus than you would think.

Now if we could only get more Aussies to move over to NZ to help lift the interest in League ;-)

It will never happen. Too cold and wet and full of dickheads.

Gah, Why change a good thing! Super 12 was good now they're just increasing the workload of the players. I personally don't think its a good idea, but i'm more than happy to be proved wrong.

A 5th Super 12 team would be much more competitive than an extra SA or AUS team.

Team of rejects (not selected in initial squad) from the S12 this year:

15 Adrian Cashmore
14 Sosene Anesi
13 Rua Tipoki
12 Grant McQuoid
11 Shayne Austin
10 Luke McAlister
9 Kevin Senio
8 Colin Bourke
7 Liam Messam
6 Nick Williams
5 James Ryan
4 Bernie Upton
3 Ben Castle
2 Tim Dow
1 Saimone Taumoepeau

Add to that list Paul Willer, Shaun Webb and among others...

Read my post mate. McAlister and McQuoid weren't selected in the initial squad.
