England have as much application in this series as Bangladesh

which doesnt mean a lot though, because Bangladesh once beat Australia in an ODI :-s

Lovely shot from KP. Still wont get to 100.

Tell us why you think Bairstow should be in the team BM?

Prior's keeping form has been that bad. Prior's batting hasn't been good enough to keep him in the team. Bairstow is a shitter batsman but he can't possibly be a worse keeper. Choosing between them is like choosing between two piles of shit.

But even if he fails as a batsman as long as Bairstow gets the dismissals Prior f**ked up he makes them a better team until find a real batsman-keeper.

They must have no real keeping depth.

It's amazing the amount of time the batting team is allowed to waste these days, the umps are as weak as cats piss.

Bairstow is playing for a career and not a great start.

Agnew said the other day he doesn't rate him in the top 10 keepers in county cricket but his utility value - can play as a batsman, bat anywhere from 1-7 and is an excellent outfielder - got him the backup keeper/batsman slot.

If he does well he'll hold on, otherwise I daresay they'll look to Buttler or Davies.

Just got in from the day's play. Barmy Army was just finding voice and Mitch gets that wicket. f**king pin drop! Loving it!

It was pretty funny the Barmy Army starting up the Mitchell Johnson song about a second before he bowled Bairstow and the little wave the Australians gave them. Top stuff.

Looking forward to Day 2. I expect the Poms will get rolled in the first session (if not hour,) and will post around 280. As they say, you can't judge a pitch until both sides have batted so it will be a good gauge as to whether the Australians will go for the jugular or put their feet up now the series has been won.
