Or he has done nothing since his first innings
which is one more innings and a few wickets more that Twatto
Or he has done nothing since his first innings
Khawaja has yet to play a single test match on this tour, how exactly could he contribute?
Hughes still can't play spin.
Wade still can't catch.
Mitch still sprays it everywhere.
No Show still promises everything and delivers nothing.
3 of the 4 on homework detention got picked today.
Khawaja not being selected is a right farce, and I'm not a Khawaja or Australian cricket fan by any stretch.
Hughes may be poor but the last innings and today he has shown he is working on it.
And Uzi has been allowed to show he is working on it how?
Khawaja is exactly the issue- he hasn't got the runs this season, 1 Hundred should not get you a test cap and it shows how poor he is at rotating the strike. He is a 0 or 4 player
BunniesMan said:Some of you people are truly pathetic. In the last 2 innings Phil Hughes has scored something like 70% of our runs while hes been in. He was the only person to get a start in the last innings. Carrying our top order here. And so many of you want him to fail simply so you don't get proven wrong.
Phil Hughes 31 off 35, 7 fours... which is exactly what you just described.
.
Stubborn fool. If he gets a 50 here that will be 2 in a row against quality spin in very tough conditions. But he's shit and should be replaced by someone averageing 40 at Shield level.Phil Hughes 31 off 35, 7 fours... which is exactly what you just described.
That statistic is completely meaningless as Cowan and Hughes are different styles of players. I don't think Phil Hughes is terrible overall, he's a terrible player of spin and as a whole just very very average at this level. Nowhere near the prodigy you believe.
To be fair that was one of the greatest sides ever assembled. This by Indian standards is pretty average. You'd have to go back to the 1970 (i think) series against Sth Africa, when we got dicked by big margins in all 4 tests

I don't think it has been a great innings but he showed all through the summer he rotates the strike well

Two 50's in seven innings is still poor no matter how you look at it.
