Khawaja is exactly the issue- he hasn't got the runs this season, 1 Hundred should not get you a test cap and it shows how poor he is at rotating the strike. He is a 0 or 4 player and you don't get top many 4 Balls attest level.

Hughes may be poor but the last innings and today he has shown he is working on it. Wade is still better than haddin who is just as bad but years older. I hate Johnson but have a look at his record in India and the big show is a better alternative than henriques on this pitch

That statistic is completely meaningless as Cowan and Hughes are different styles of players. I don't think Phil Hughes is terrible overall, he's a terrible player of spin and as a whole just very very average at this level. Nowhere near the prodigy you believe.

To be fair that was one of the greatest sides ever assembled. This by Indian standards is pretty average.

Khawaja isn't even averaging 40 at shield level this year. If he was averaging 60 then sure, until then Hughes stays

When did he ever show that? In the ODI's he'd get to 50 in about 80 balls and make up the rest with slogging. He got the runs and credit for that but he definitely can't rotate strike.
