Only 12 Australians (including Smith just now) have scored 20 test centuries or more. That is pretty good from Smudge

And he's only 27.

Assuming he can remain relatively injury free and play for at least another 10 years, I think he's going to go very close to Tendulkar's 15k+ test run haul

Sherwin Campbell was better than David Warner
Remember back in the mid-'90s when Ch9 had that Toyota banner competition (promoted by Mahatma Cote, ala Greg Ritchie), where you brought a banner to the game with the Toyota logo:

My first live cricket match I went to was West Indies vs Pakistan at the SCG in '97 and our (my dad and I) banner was "The Windies with Campbell with Sher-Win". Later one of the officiating judges came up to us at the end of the game just before Pakistan hit the winning runs and said we would've won the $500 had the Windies won the game. Sadly, they got rissoled by 8 wickets. The highlight of the night was being able to sneak past security guards into the Bradman stand during the dinner break and actually did meet Greg Ritchie outside the commentary box, got his autograph and a photo.

All that said though, yeah, Sherwin Campbell was a very underrated opening batsmen during the '90s. One of the last batsmen to have the balls and wear those helmets without the grill.

Such a picturesque ground.
I agree. One of the most picturesque grounds in the world. Love that camera angle the tv broadcasters showed with the mountains in the background:

The closest any of the Australian grounds had to compete with that view was Adelaide Oval before the redevelopment in 2010.

30 more runs max, how disappointing.

Great innings Smith, shame no one else can match it with you.

Haha oh fcking hell. 1/144 and this rabble is going to be rolled for 220. Not going to get any better chance of a series win in India and Smith aside, the batsmen have thrown it away
