When was the last time Khawaja played - he was rested from the NZ tour to prepare for India - perhaps he's just not hitting them well in the nets
You could be right, I hear Davey is on fire in the nets.

merkins saying we only need to draw and losers and have a poor attitude, yes, drawing means we retain the trophy but that means f**k all. A series win is a win, a draw is like watching your step mum drive over a cliff on your brand new Bugatti.

Boys need to rock out with their cocks out and win the bloody test.

I'd drop Lyon for Agar. They probably won't because then we have two left arm spin bowlers. We only need to draw. Need to occupy the crease for as long as we can. Agar gives us a fresh bowling option and something with the bat. With O'Keefe and Cummins you have a really long batting lineup.

I hope they don't drop Cummins. The test series is on the line, you have to play him. Even if he is tired.

No chance in hell I'd drop Warner for Khawaja. He hasn't played a game all tour. I am expecting Warner to come to the party in this test though.

Wait, what? The bloke who took 8 for 50 two matches should be dropped? For Ashton for gods sakes Agar? It'd be like dropping a spin batting expert like Al Doolan for David Warner.

Warner wont be dropped, but he deserves to be and Khawaja deserves a crack, if he fails no biggie Warner has been failing there, if Khawaja does well then it strengthens our batting plenty. We wont know cause he wont be given a go
They'd look pretty bloody stupid if they picked Ooze and he got 200.

I think they look stupid anyway.

For evidence refer our wicket keeper.

I would have taken 8/50 on that pitch, and I have no arms or legs.

I would have got 2/142, but I'm the Yeeeetttaaayyy

The word 3 days out is that the pitch is green and bouncy and its rained some. Bird may be a chance of being included.

I'm expecting a few phone calls to be made by the Indian team.

Along with an Ashes victory - perhaps even more so - winning a tour in India is the Holy Grail for an Aussie team and captain.

It's only been acheived twice. And simply drawing the series wouldn't rven compare as an achievement.

Smith and the team need to go into this with a 'win or bust' attitude and I'm sure they will.

No one will remember a drawn series but a win will go down in folklore.
Disagree. Obviously a victory is preferable but a draw to retain the the trophy is still a massive achievement. We were expected to lose this series 4-0 and to lose each game by a large margin. To draw the series would go down in folklore.

Folklore?

Twas Master Smith and his merry band,
Who came a bounding to Curry land,
Crippled by chaps who could not play,
They were not expected to last a day.

Through heat and hell they made big scores,
Fighting the demon Kohli and DRS laws,
A victory theyth pulled from their arse,
As Smith conquered despite wadey and mitch marsh.
