A bit harsh on Tahu - he didn't set the world on fire initially, but I thought he was starting to find his feet before a season ending injury around May/June, and then going back to Newcastle. He will always be remembered for that hit on Bryan Norrie.

Strange that he was the only Penrith player on that list... no Brett Firman?

How far back are we allowed to go?

The gold standard in terrible signings is Terry Hill to Souths

"I'm just going to make a dumb statement and not care about people telling me why I'm wrong."

You mean like a dumb statement that Adam Blair is a shit player at one club and a champion at another, obviously the reasons why don't interest you either

18. Jason Taylor. Sure you don't mean Jason Cayless? f**k me the Tigers are well over-represented there :(

If this was opened up to the ARL years, Garrick Morgan would be a moral for 1st place.

As Snappy said, it's a simple concept.
I'll let you dwell on it for a bit longer though.

Astonished that Kemp and Berrigan are next to each other - unless I am missing something Berrigan was decent for us, Kemp was, well, not...

Going back a few years the Warriors have some doozies... Betts easily beats Tomkins

Closely followed by Scott Pethybridge (also never played a game for us) and Glenn Grief (1 game).

Gees we were a professionally run outfit back then.

The 2002-2004 period of Souths is the greatest comedy Australia has ever produced.

There was nothing funnier back then than watching Souths. Either they'd get thumped, or better yet they'd occasionally roll someone giving much lols against their fans. They upset Manly in 2004 I believe, was one of the more entertaining games as a neutral that year

Back then you could just relax and enjoy your team putting 40 easy points on them. Stress-free afternoon of entertainment.

Eels have 8 of the top 50.... think they went easy on us, could have included Chris Walker in addition to his stint with Souths, plus Chris Hicks, Paul Whatuira, Jordan Atkins and the Tonga brothers...

The fact that they may have been playing for pocket change may have put them below all the big money signings.

Willie Tonga was probably on a bit though. He may have been worthy of a spot.
And Jordan Atkins wasn't that bad for us. Was one of our more reliable players that year (of which I must admit, I've blocked most of from my memory).

Also, I don't always watch a lot of Warriors games, but was Tomkins really THAT bad?
I know he started off his NZ stint pretty poorly, but he did get better. I remember quite a few games where he played very well (I guess a lot of those were against the woeful Eels though).

I just find it hard to believe that he was a worse signing than Sandow, Dykes or Blair.
I suppose he was on more money than those blokes though.

Pfft if we can go back, the gold standard has to be Greg Smith that played 1 game for the Knights after lying about being an NFL player lol.

I can't speak as a Warriors fan but he was seemingly okay. Just solid and nothing more, they looked better on the park when he was there.

Was it a good signing, no. Was it the worst signing, definitely not.

I did think about that... but then I thought, even if the likes of Whatuira, Hicks and Webb were all being paid half the minimum NRL wage with a $50 Brashs voucher thrown in they were still being well and truly overpaid!!!

And Jordan Atkins... For a winger who scored 4 tries on debut he sure knew how to butcher a try for us... I'll never forget him hogging it and not passing to unmarked players with the line wide open at Parra stadium one day... and boy didn't he do a very good impression of Luke Covell in being one of the slowest wingers in the code! I actually had my doubt it was the same Jordan Atkins that played for the Titans, just some random with the same name assuming his identity...
