Speaking about wasting a wage. When a johns signed his last contract, theyhad to let ben kennedy go. Thereafter, no more chance of a premiership.

I remember there was big fan fare when broncos signed Israel Folau for big money, and while he played some ok football they had to lose a lot of good players to get him. They lost the likes of Boyd, Hannant, Eastwood, Stagg, Ennis all who had career best seasons at their new clubs the very next year while broncos struggled for a few years afterwards. So while Folau played some decent football i always considered him a historically bad signing (especially since broncos always develop decent outside backs).

Getting rid of Petro and replacing him with Joel Clinton was not particularly brilliant

very harsh on Tomkins, went to wrong club to play headless rugby -watched most of his games and did a lot more right than wrong, would have ben a superstar at bulldogs or similar - followed leuluai bro culture un fortunatley

Bullshit, as a fullback his failings would've been the same at any club (weak kick returns, lack of defensive muscle and size, tendency to slip over, occasionally suss under the high ball).
You can't blame Warriors "bro culture" (wtf has that got to do with Leuluai by the way?) for that, especially given that lack of effort/attitude was never Tomkins problem.
