It's important to remember $500k is no longer elite money. It's still very big money, but guys like Thurston and Marshall will all shortly be on a million a year.

Uate is definitely the best winger in the game, and his Origin series wasn't even that bad. If he stays on his man then Inglis runs over the top of whichever nuffie was playing right centre (Morris I think it was). So as long as Uate keeps providing his level of finishing, kick returns and go-forward (to the tune of 20+ runs per game) there's no reason he isn't worth half a million dollars a season.

Have you guys ever thought who is going to play hooker for you guys when your club legend retires most likely retires at seasons end and lets be honest your forward and bench need plenty of work to be a premiership force and the money should be spend there not on wingers.
