So our bowling line up is made up of a Lyon, a Rhino, a Bird and a Vegetarian.

Just don't love the idea of weakening our batting which is already poor and having a keeper bat at 6. If Faulkner plays he has to be good enough to bat 6, if not, then don't play him.

I'd argue Haddin is in our best 3 batsmen anyway. No issue with him sliding up to 6.

What a lot of people here are failing to grasp is how weak our batting is. We cannot afford the luxury of an allrounder if they cant bat at a high level.

Going with 4 bowlers and 2 part timers in Smith and Warner is a better option than going with Faulkner. And no this isn't just because I want Hughes to play. I'd play Cowan ahead of Faulkner also.

Yes but isn't that a terrible thing to say- the 'keeper' is in our top 3 bats. I just hate the notion of picking keepers in the top 6 personally, they fail more than they succeed.

Hughes deserved to be dropped, and he has to work out his weaknesses first. Whether he bats 1 or 6, he needs to be able to not look like a goose when playing spin. There is still time. I hope he works on this, and to be honest Lehmann can teach him a lot as he was in the top few players f spin I have ever seen.

You have to play a spinner at the Oval, so Lyon by defualt plays. The question is...do we play a 2nd one in Agar as a spinning all rounder or do we play a quick all-rounder in Faulkner. Really depends on the pitch.

Boof was pissed off at the way Khawaja, Watto & Smith got out in the 2nd innings..

His comments were something along the lines of "if you can't play straight, then you've got no place in international cricket"..

I thought it was a subtle dig at coaching staff as well, sounds like if he had his way he would cut alot of the staff.
