As an Arsenal fan I'd rather kill myself.

Also Kula got just 11 wickets. He wasn't the world beater everyone was saying he was.

He got just 1 wicket more than Malinga, had an average that was just 2 points lower and a strikerate that was less than 1 lower.

So he didn't do that much more than Malinga, and yet he deserved that reward. Did he even get 2 man of the matches?

Meanwhile Hughes scored more than 100 runs above every other player. His average was more than 14 above anyone else that played 5 games. 3 100s were scored in the whole series, he scored 2 of them.

His numbers are head and shoulders above the rest while Kulas are hardly different from Malingas.

Actually debate the point I'm making with facts and logic to support your argument or you acknowledge that I'm right.

The bowlers dominated the series, they deserved the MOTS award. Think of it this way SL would have won the other night (winning was an absolute pipe dream). Who got SL into winning those 3 matches....Kulasakera mainly. So yes it was a drawn series but SL were closer to winning this series than we were!

If not for the rain in Sydney SL would have won the series, so it's fitting that one of theirs got the MotS.

Well go follow qpr or west ham or Mk dons, just dont tarish my club with one eyed stupidity.
If the bails fall of like there designed to do, he wouldnt have 2 hundreds.

Kula destroyed aus twice and his gabba performace is one of the best by a bowler ever.

He deserved his award, he was consistant for 4 games, phil was great in a team total, and played well after getting extremely lucky, but was pathetic in 3 games.

Really?

Because we made 222, and they only once made it past 200 in the series (the loss last night).

Not sure it's a given that they would've won in Sydney....

Couldn't agrree more BM. Nuwan Kulasakera and Lasith Malinga should have shared the award.

This may suprise you, but they don't sit in front of a list of statistics when they give out these awards.

Phil Hughes batted well yesterday but to say he deserved man of the series is ludicrous, he had two good games and 3 shockers hardly consistent enough for man of the series. Not unexpected the calls for him winning MOTS come from his stalker

Sri Lanka were in the best position to win the series and the Sri Lankan bowlers were a large part of that

Kulasekara thorughly deserved it

BunniesMan challenges someone to debate with him on why Kulasekera deserved MOTS over Hughes. When several people actually do present logical arguments, he disappears and then fails to respond.

No. I put forward my arguments. I didn't appreciate when AG had nothing to offer because it was nothing but abuse without any logical argument.

Yes since then some people have actually argued a point. I respect this but that doesn't mean there has to be more to it. Because I've already said my piece and I've heard other peoples arguments. I obviously think I'm still right but what would be the point of just repeating my argument.

The debate would just go in circles.

I have my opinion that Hughes should have been man of the series. And I made my argument with my reasons why. Others had different opinions and they gave their reasons why. That's the end of that as far as I'm concerned.
