Cook is superb at destroying the confidence of his own spinners. Why the f**k would you pick them if you're not going to bowl them.
Going to have to back to Borthwick soon. These guys can't bowl all day.

Really feel sorry for Monty Panesar in the last test, where Cook preferred to bowl part-timer Root ahead of him. Regardless of whether or not you believe Panesar should've been selected or not, why select a bowler in the first place that you don't intend on using? Plain stupid, and yeah you're blatantly saying to the bowler "I have no confidence in you or your ability".
Bang on.
Borthwick must feel like utter shite. England have been a quick down for most of the day and he can't get a bowl.
Why didn't Cook just request 4 quicks and Stokes?
Oh, because they needed to pick a 'spinner' who is actually a top order batsman to fortify their brittle batting.
Question:
If the non striker is out of his crease and stokes accidentally knocks the bails off is it still a no ball or is it the bowling teams decision on whether or not to go appeal the run out?
The kid isn't even 24 yet. If he's not ready don't pick him. Pick a container like Tredwell. Don't pick him and bowl him for 3 overs. I feel sorry for him.
