Yeaaahhhh Boiiiiii!!!..

Mr Slave's series of redemption is complete..

Natural order in the Ashes world is restored..

Tugga Smith had his coming of age summer..

Mr Teeny proved beyond all doubt that he is a high class test opener, who can do it "his way"..

Buck Rogers proved that age is just a number, if you want it to be..And also that you never, ever, give up..

Hadds had a "Gilly-like" series..his performance was my favourite out of everyone..

Tiger Lyon has become our best spinner since Warnie, & is on his way to being the best offie we've had..plus his batting proved impregnable..not out in every knock..

Rhino did what Rhino does..and it is a beautiful thing..

The magnificent veggietard banana-man flew under the radar, but had a great series, it was just that Mr Slave was taking all the glory..

Shane Wazn played the best innings of his career, but remains an enigma..

Bailey ain't up to it..

Pup wrote his name into Ashes folklore..proved , again, that he is the the best, most innovative captain in world cricket..taught his opposite a lesson..

Special mention to Candy Falzon for her role in the win..:D

The beer tastes sensational ATM..

Under the Southern Cross I stand...YOU F**KING BEAUTY!!!

Think we need to be realistic about this series.

Our bowling was outstanding, and what really stood out was the fielding performance. Some of the best and most consistent catching I've seen. Can't remember anything other than very tough catches going down.

However our batting lineup is extremely frail. Really, only Haddon consistently performed in the first innings. Many of the runs made by the top and middle order were made after England had capitulated and surrendered a first innings lead.

South Africa have a far better bowling attack and won't let the foot off the throat should we go 5 down. Don't think they will fall in a heap batting wise either, though Kallis' absence may make them vulnerable.

Will be extremely tough to beat. We have a very good record over there though.

First Test..

You're going to get turned over on home soil again, you're going to have to accept you're just inferior pretty soon.

You talk a good game but can't do it on the pitch.

21/11/13, 2:01pm
How bad are Australia?

Lets just fast forward to England lifting the Urn, save everyone a few months.

21/11/13, 2:30pm
Why? He's shit he's a bowler who can't bowl.

One lucky innings.

Botham is looking a prophet with 5-0 England prediction.

Here comes batting 101, press record if you're Australian you might of forgotten what quality batting looks like.

WOW WHAT A DAY

Jane McGrath Day getting Pinker and pinker

When those wickets fell real quick after lunch the crowd was at its loudest, amazing period which summed up the dominance of the series. Of course when the last wicket fell it was celebration time. Shaking hands and hugging strangers, with sheer delight on our faces is what its all about. Its more than a game, its part of our Australian culture this baggy green.

Last time the poms were here, I don't think I was feeling as depressed, sad and angry to the depths Australian cricket has fallen. Now we are climbing again in the right direction and it feels awesome. Every Australian, no matter what their circumstances in their lives, today has the right to feel a bit taller and mighty proud.

To the Australian XI, and all the coaching and support staff - a big thank you

I seriously thought plucky 2-2 or 2-1 loss. Not that I didn't have faith but England have been strong and full of class. To effectively end the careers of Trott, Swann, Prior and KP and stuff Cook, Bell, Anderson, Bresnan and their other tall quicks AND dent their young uns in Root...AND WIN 5-0 with the same 11 off has beens, never wases, washed up talents, well...I want to tear up. So proud today. Got two boys running around pretending to be Mitchell and Clarkey, swept up excitedly by it all. Best of all, sat with my wife for all of those two last tests and both awe struck and chuckling and grinning. Thank you clarkey and co.

One last thing...won by 281. Only scored 276 in second dig. Imagine if we could have had England follow on? Done in 2 days lol.

When you think back to the English ashes series all the luck ran the poms way, winning 3-0 helped masked the fact the results could of been closer, just turning up,expecting to win by going through the motions showed how far the poms were in denial of the job ahead and importantly, under estimating the determination and ability of their opposition.

Never in my dreams did I think that we would beat England 5-0

I went out this arvo just as Pieterson got out and it was wrapped up an hour and a bit later before I got back. Worse England sides have come out to Australia and shown some actual fight unlike this lot. Probably only Broad and Stokes can hold their head up.

What a day for Australian Cricket

Yep agree, have never seen a worse Pom side. Even in 06/07 when we had a near unbeatable team with ponting, McGrath, warne, Hayden, langer, lee, hussey, Clarke etc at least they put up a good fight in a few tests. Other than the first session of game 1, England never looked like anything. Honestly think they would not have even beat the windies or kiwis. Looking forward to 2015 I must say. Our team is young and on the rise and I don't know where the poms go from here..

Apart from Root and Carberry, their first test team was the same as the 2010-11 team which had 3 innings wins over us.

Rankin might be wishing he stayed in Ireland.

Heard a stat yesterday that this is the first time in an ashes series that we have taken 100 wickets.

The poms were bowled out every time they batted and never once did they declare.

I think it was on ABC grandstand but they were a bit unsure.
