The deck is doing nowhere near what Cook thought it would.

On Carberry, he's scored more runs than Root at - surprisingly - a better strike rate. And is better in the field. I think it's a fair call . Root batted well in Adelaide and nowhere else.

Very true. Root has time on his side though, only 23 and has shown a lot of promise. It's not as thought we've seen the last of him.

If Borthwick turns into Kerrigan II: Electric Boogaloo, than England are pretty f**ked - without Root they don't have a half decent part-time spinner. KP is quite reluctant to bowl these days.

Poor shot really, fair nut but his feet were all over the place. He hasnt looked the same since he played that 20/20 rubbish.

Warner has done that a few times this series. He needs to learn to throttle back, not every ball can be pongoed out of the screws.
