I highly doubt it's Rogers, given it took him 5 1/2yrs to get back into he test side. Like Hussey who grinded it out at Sheffield Shield for more than a decade before he cracked the side, rogers ain't going to throw away the opportunity after working so hard to get back into the side. I see him going around for another 1-2 years providing his form stays good. No one in Shield cricket is threatening his position at the moment.

I have a strong hunch that it's Haddin, given his age and the off-field issues he's been through over the past couple of years or so. Probably would like to spend more time at home and quite understandably.

it maybe Watson so he can concentrate on the shorter forms and try and stay fit

maybe he can see the writing on the wall with Faulkner coming in

If it's Haddin, who takes the gloves, not keen on either Wade or Paine.

Three questions to be answered this test:

1. How will England's 3 debutants perform?

2. Have Australia run out of puff?

3. How will LU function in the first match of the post-BunniesMan era?

1. Ballance will probably go alright, confidence is high amongst the Australian batsmen as a unit so I don't think Rankin or Borthwick will make a significant difference;

2. I hope not. They could have easily thrown the towel in last Test after the poor first innings, but they rallied and rolled the English in their second innings. I don't think they'll lay down or tire out.

3. Who gives a f**k, it'll be nice to have a free flowing conversation without some merkin mentioning Phil Hughes every fifth post.

Root should be opening the batting with Cook, Carberry is 33 and Root is 23 why would you stick with the struggling old man over the struggling young man?

Horrible decision

:lol: They drop Root to keep Cadbury, crazy selection.

First time since 89 we have kept the same side for 5 test matches. Great to see, Bailey is on his last chance though IMO.
