I could definitely agree with Horo into the 13...but I just don't understand what people have seen from Mateo to put him into the 6. I'd drop him before Mortimer at this stage.

I think Horo should start at 13... he's done well in his opportunities at this level.

I see Mateo being better in shorter bursts, as an impact player from the bench. Less chance then of him losing focus and making errors (in attack or defence), and we might see the best of him that way.

That means sticking with KK and Mortimer in the halves, since Robson goes quite well at dummy half. And it was only their first week in that combo, they will get better together.

I'd go along with that....

i love Feleti, but man has he been erratic and bad - even for him....

i would stick with tonigts configuration for a few weeks until it begins to reap the rewards, but maybe put Feleti back to the bench and reward Horo (if fit) with a 2nd Row spot, with b Smith at lock

I just think we need more points of attack.

I think the more Feleti has his hands on the ball the better he plays. Yes he's a fat lazy turd at times but he's got so much ability and we saw glimpses of it tonight.

Motimer & Keating are too similar and Kris is definitely in better form right now.

I'm a big fan of Daniel's but he nees to work on aspects of his game and get his mojo back. His kicking in particular is sub-par for an NRL half. His failure to find touck says alot about where he's at right now and it ain't where we need him to be.

maybe you're right, its just that Feleti is really bad right now.... :(

I agree with dropping Mateo atleast to the bench if not to wenty but I would be promoting Poore to the starting line up before Horo with Caylo or Fui to the bench.

That improves our starting line up and have Horo, Mannah with Mitchell and another jnr being Pele (injured thou?), Allgood,Lasalo and im going to get murdered for this but Filinga.

If we have Poore, Fui, Cayless starting I dont think we need two props on the bench. Why I personly pick someone like Lasalo or Filinga over Robenson or Oake is because I think we could do with a hard hitting backrower who is quick and can add some impact (like mateo) and offload a few balls rather then another worker.

If we could have Cayless, Fui, Hindy, Poore make >100meters a match with Benny and Mannah pulling their weight aswell it would take off pressure off some of these jnrs if they were to be promoted.

Its not about making big changes, I just think Mateo had to many mistakes and cost us to much and MK needs a run in Wenty and Mitch could also add some spark. KK and Mortz IMO looked good together even if ppl are bagging Mortz we had alot more structure in attack.

Am pretty sure that Hayne failed to find touch at least once tonight?

When we were down by 10 with 2 minutes to go, he was trying for a monster kick to give us some hope of a miracle. We'd be even more f**ked without that boy at the moment.

Yeh, it doesn't take long for some people to put the boot in.

ok first people call for Robson to be dropped and get KK in there with morts for the 'future' now we want him dropped?

thats crap, keep morts and KK there for a bit tbh they had more effect on the game tonight then robbo and morts were producing.
mateo to the bench horo to lock robbo kept at starting 9 thought he played well tonight

improvers from tonight (guys who have been questioned etc)

1. KK - halves is where he should be
2. Cayless - played great in a losing team tonight
3. Robbo - hooker looks like a good spot for him takes pressure off him
4. Poore - showed he can run hard and not give silly penalties

Needs to lift

1. Morts - he lost a sh*t load of weight with that virus and is reportedly still underweight, give him time
2. Mateo - apart from that pass to put burt over he was sh*t tonight, no urgencie in defence at all
3. Hayne - Positional play is horrible atm and is getting frustrated in attack needs to just take a back seat and play safe footy instead of trying to push things
4. Reddy - looked frustrated with campo constantly holding him down all night etc and brain snap occured

Players who r playing well

1. Mannah
2. Horo
3. Fui
4. Burt
5. Grothe

and even though he didnt play tonight Inu has played well this year so far

all these guys have tried everytime they take the field this year
granted fui hasnt made dints like last year but thats coz he's in a losing team he isstill playing well

Id consider this line up if we lose our next 2 matches. And if Morts keeps the display hes showing now.

I think the attempt of turning Mateo into a backrower could be a failure. He might be a five eight and only a five eight. Time to set him free (on the field)

The structure doesn't need to change much.

1. Hayne
6. Keating
7. Mortimer
9. Robson

Matt K. needs a stint in Wenty.

They also need to let the halves play. Too often Hayne is over ruling the halves and while yes he is our go-to man everyone else knows that and gets three or four players in on him and gets tackled out of the game.

Hayne needs to be used as a decoy as much as he needs the ball in his hands. Sterling hits the nail on the head when he says they rely on him too much.

Mortimer at halves allows Hayne and Keating to use their running gmes which is their strength.

I think one of our biggest problems is our back row, they just don't make enough metres. Hindmarsh is our work horse ( and if he is on $400,000 as previously mentioned we aren't get value). And gee it was frustrating last night, he runs with the ball out making it looks like he is going to pass but he never does. He should just run straight and hard. But in saying that he is our heart and soul
Smith is still learning , but is developing greatly but still he doesn't make a lot of metres. he really needs to use some leg drive.
And Mateo, may just be a 5/8, doesn't seem to have the fitness.

Without looking at the stats, when was the last time 2 out 3 of our backrow in the same game made 100 metres ?

It's still only round 5, the longer we keep chopping and changing every week until we get a win could go on forever. Time to stick and persevere with a structured team so the players can be confident in where they are going to be playing week in and week out and build on that.

I have to say i don't understand the love for KK after tonights performance. He is just another Jeff Robson with a bit of extra speed off the mark. He tries hard and he defends quite well, but he does zero organising, he can't kick to the standard of a first grade half, can't throw a spiral pass, which gives our backs no room, and they are given even less room by the constant dummy inside to no one (which is as much the fault of lazy inside runners) before the floating pass out wide.

Mateo actually had a crack against the Raiders for the most part and show some signs of life.
