while we're still bashing the selectors, I thought it was weird selecting Voges, they have this stoopid pecking order process and he's always been next in line behind Fergusen, so when its down to our 15th or 16th player or what ever he is, he gets a game

its was a dead rubber, why did we pick a 34 year old who will probably never play for Australia ever again ?

wouldn't it have made more sense to give a young bloke a run and a bit of experience ?

Well a comprehensive 6-1 result...but would the result have been the same had Ricky Ponting been captaining?

I doubt it very much. Clarke has shown more as Captain in this series than Punter has for his whole time as captain of Australia IMO.

That is a fair call, would have been a good time to give Finch a game

Agreed, I'd also suspect a couple of Punters pets like Hilfy & Siddle etc would have gotten a game or 2, I also doubt Krejza would been called up either.

punter was a great bat.

i really hope he kills it too angry but i have severe doubts.

i've bagged plenty of players back into form so hopefully the same happens here.

Christian or Finch should have been picked both wouldn't look out of place in our WC squad and both are future players. Voges did well and also wouldn't look out of place in the WC squad but we are talking about a lot of players that need to fall out before he makes the squad.

well there are currently 3 out and the decisions on whether they will play in the WC is being made today

Punter seems to be the only certain starters as Huss and Hauri seem doubtful, according to Foxsports
